In an interview with the North American website MMAFighting.com, Johnny Eduardo He said he was grateful to the UFC for his career in the organization. At 43 years old, the fighter doesn't intend to hang up his gloves anytime soon.
“I am very grateful to the UFC for the journey. One door closes so others can open. My career isn't over, I'm not going to stop. I'm just going to migrate to other places with more experience. Not just experience in the UFC, but experience from three generations of fighting in wrestling, anything goes and MMA. I am here. I’m open for business and I’ll continue forward with my head held high”, said “Pretinho”.
Professional since 1996, Johnny Eduardo he debuted in the UFC in 2011. The Brazilian entered the Octagon on eight occasions, with three wins and five losses. Now, Johnny intends to be even more active in his next organization.
“Maybe I can fight even more now because the UFC locked me in and I fought once every two or three years. Maybe now I can sign with an organization and fight more often. I have friends in ACA (Absolute Championship Akhmat). I’m open and happy, I really am”, concluded Johnny.
