Sean O'Malley gives his opinion on yet another Jon Jones arrest: 'He should be punished for this'

The bantamweight division fighter criticized the former UFC champion's recent controversy and defended that a punishment be applied

After yet another arrest involving the controversial Jon Jones, prospect Sean O'Malley gave his opinion on the matter on his channel YouTube. 'Sugar' believes that the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) should be punished for the recent confusion and stated that 'Bones' needs medical help.

“Man, when you're drunk, you're not your true self. You're drunk... Who knows what he's dealing with? He's not well, one hundred percent. He must be punished for this. I don’t know if he’s necessarily a bad guy, but he needs help man,” said Sean.

Without making harsher criticisms, the bantamweight tried to find a reason that would justify yet another arrest for the former champion, but, in the end, he condemned yet another regrettable attitude from 'Bones'.

“I don’t feel like I’m in a position to judge. I don't know what's going on in his mind or I don't know what's going on in his life. But obviously, he shouldn't have done that” concluded 'Sugar'.

In search of a place in the bantamweight rankings (up to 61,2 kg), O'Malley is looking for his third consecutive victory in the Octagon. At the UFC 269, scheduled for December 11th, the North American will face the Brazilian Raulian paiva. The fighter has an MMA record of 14 wins and just one setback.
