Considered one of the greatest fighters of all time, Chris Cyborg will defend the Bellator featherweight belt (up to 65,7 kg) on November 12th. The Brazilian faces Sinead Kavanagh in the Bellator 271, at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, in Holywood, Florida (USA).

The information was confirmed by Bellator president, Scott Coker, during his participation in The MMA Hour, a podcast on the North American website MMAFighting presented by Canadian journalist Ariel Helwani.
Chris Cyborg has been undefeated since making her Bellator debut in January 2020. She won the belt against julia budd at Bellator 238 and defended the title on two occasions, against Arlene Blencowe and Leslie Smith in editions 249 and 259 of the event. The Brazilian's last defeat came in December 2018, when she was knocked out by her compatriot Amanda nunes at UFC 232 and lost the Ultimate belt.

The Irishwoman, however, qualified to face Cyborg for the belt with two consecutive victories in Bellator: over Olga Rubin, in 2019, and Katharina Lehner, in 2020. Nicknamed “KO”, Kavanagh won four of her seven victories by knockout .
