Upset by the criticism of his duel against Johnny Walker in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 38, Johnny Walker decided to respond on his Instagram. The light heavyweight (up to 93kg) revealed a photo with a cut on his face taken a few weeks before the event, asked for respect for his work and stated that it was all just 'such an exciting night'.

“First photo, three weeks before the fight. Second photo, after the fight. I understand that most people just want to see beatings, blood, knockouts and someone lying on the ground, and there's nothing wrong with that, after all we're talking about a combat sport. But don’t judge an athlete’s hard, daily work because of a not-so-exciting night,” wrote Marreta.

With the victory over Johnny Walker, Marreta approaches a new title fight in the category. Currently in fifth place in the light heavyweight rankings, the Brazilian fighter is once again smiling after suffering three consecutive defeats. The fighter has a record of 22 triumphs and nine setbacks in his professional record.
