Even after UFC 266, Henry Cejudo lobbies for trilogy between Nick Diaz and Robbie Lawler

Retired from MMA since May 2020, Henry Cejudo remains involved in combat sports and active on social media. Now on the podcast'Triple C & Schmo', he says he wants to see a trilogy between Nick Diaz e Robbie Lawler, even though the former welterweight champion (up to 77kg.) had just beaten him in the UFC 266.

Cejudo even stated that the two athletes need to resolve their issues and is betting on the 'bad boy' as the favorite in a possible third fight.

"I think that he (Nick Diaz) should try another chance with Robbie Lawler. I hate to throw the word 'legend' around, but Nick Diaz It's a legend. They are 1×1. The third game seals the deal. I truly believe in my heart that, with a little more time, Nick Diaz will beat him,” Cejudo said.

The story between Diaz and Lawler began in 2004, when the 'bad boy' knocked him out in the first round. Around 17 years later, the two athletes faced each other again in the UFC 266 and, this time, the former welterweight champion (up to 77 kg.) got revenge by ending the fight in the second round.
