Patolino: “I had an incredible desire to beat Viscardi”

Last Sunday the final episode of the second season of TUF Brasil aired. In the program, the Argentine Santiago Ponzinibbio won a place in the final by defeating Leo Santos, but had to give up the position to his opponent due to a broken arm. The other spot was won by William Patolino, who knocked out Viscardi Andrade. And the Rio native had a personal preference for the semifinal fight.

In an interview with Globoesporte.com, Patolino said that he had been choking on his opponent since the episode in which Viscardi had provoked Rodrigo Minotauro after beating Thiago Jambo for the second time.

“From the first fight, I wanted to fight him, because I had an incredible desire to beat him up,” said Patolino. “It was an incredible satisfaction, because he was very disrespectful towards the Minotaur, pointing the finger at him. He was very disrespectful to our coach.”

Patolino thinks that, having won his fight in the semifinals, he will have the support of the Ceará fans in the TUF Brasil 2 Finale, which takes place this Saturday. “I did well in the semi-finals, so I think the public will be on my side. Not him, he lost to Santiago. I think the biggest crowd will be mine”, concluded the confident Team Nogueira athlete.

William “Patolino” Macario was the youngest competitor on TUF Brasil 2, at 21 years old. In the final against Leo Santos, he will maintain an unbeaten record of six fights in his career, five of which were won by knockout and another by submission. In these fights, only one opponent reached the second round.
