There is a lot of debate about who the greatest fighters of all time are. The last personality to embark on this discussion was Michael Bisping. During his appearance on the Pain Game podcast, the former UFC middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) chose Georges St-Pierre, Anderson Silva e Jon Jones as the greatest in history in his opinion.

When justifying his choices, Bisping highlighted that Anderson Silva e Jon Jones carry an asterisk next to their names due to doping problems, while Georges St-Pierre is at the top of the list. The former champion even joked about the fact that GSP was the man who took his middleweight belt.

PUBLICITY:

“I’m going to mention the three obvious choices: Anderson, GSP and Jon Jones. I think these three are the biggest. If it weren't for the problems of Jon Jones, he would be the first, but the fact that he tested positive (on anti-doping) is a negative point, the same for Anderson. Anderson was incredible, he was the man and to see what he continues to do now in the boxing world is unbelievable, but there is this asterisk next to his name too. So, I believe it is Georges St-Pierre. He's definitely up there. And, if I'm going to beat someone, if someone is going to take my belt, let it be the best of all time (laughs)”, analyzed Bisping.

Asked about the absence of Khabib Nurmagomedov, who retired undefeated with 29 career victories, Bisping showed respect for the trajectory of the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg), but highlighted the longevity of the three chosen in relation to the Russian.

PUBLICITY:

“Yeah, he took himself out of that discussion. He didn't fight the best until the end of his career. When you compare it to GSP, Jones or Anderson, their runs against world-class competition were much longer. As for Khabib, I know it was because of his father's death and the promise to his mother, so they are different circumstances. But for these reasons, when you look at his resume, even though he retired undefeated, the resumes are not equivalent. And I say this with enormous respect to Khabib, far from me wanting to diminish his career because I would never dream of doing what he did,” said the Brit.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
