Dustin Poirier confirms he will face Charles do Bronx for the lightweight belt at UFC 269

On social media, the North American revealed that he signed a contract to fight the Brazilian at the event on December 11th.

What was speculation is getting closer and closer to becoming official. Last Sunday night (03), Dustin poirier confirmed that he signed the contract to face Charles of the Bronx for the lightweight belt (up to 70,3 kg) in UFC 269, on December 11th.

“Signed, sealed, delivered,” Poirier wrote on his official Twitter profile.

After Poirier's publication, journalist Brett Okamoto, from North American ESPN, confirmed that the fighter was actually referring to the duel against Charles of the Bronx No. UFC 269.

Dustin poirier will be the first challenger for the Charles of the Bronx, achieved with victory over Michael chandler No. UFC 262. The North American qualified for the dispute with two consecutive victories over Conor McGregor, the last one in UFC 264, in July.

Charles of the Bronx will be one of three Brazilians involved in title fights in the UFC 269, the last event of the year. The event on December 11th also features Amanda nunes defending the bantamweight title (up to 61,2 kg) against Julianna Pena e Deiveson Figueiredo seeking to regain the flyweight belt (up to 56,7 kg) in a trilogy against the champion Brandon Moreno. Peter Munhoz, Priscilla Pedrita, André Sergipano e Raulian paiva are other representatives from Brazil at the event.
