Thiago Marreta praises Johnny Walker and praises his preparation for UFC Las Vegas 38

after the UFC Las Vegas 38, Thiago Marreta praised Johnny Walker, his opponent in the main fight this Saturday (02). In a press conference after the event, the former light heavyweight (up to 93kg) challenger praised his opponent and valued his preparation in the 'American Top Team'.

"I feel good. It's not often that we manage to finish the fight, but I tried. He's a tough guy, big, moves well, is fast. But anyway, I won the fight. There's no doubt about that. I'm surprised how fast he is. Very fast and explosive”, said Marreta.

After the confrontation, the two athletes exchanged a few words and the winner of the duel praised his compatriot.

“He told me he’s a big fan of mine. I thanked him for the fight and told him to keep his head up. He is a tough guy and needs to improve, but he is a great guy and very tough”, said Thiago.

Thiago also praised his preparation in American Top Team and talked about his strategy for this Saturday's main fight (02).

“I had an incredible camping trip at American Top Team. They did a great job and I didn't stop in front of him, I moved all the time, used some fake kicks and managed to beat him. I was ready for anything”, concluded the Brazilian athlete.

With the triumph over Walker, Marreta recovered from the three consecutive defeats that accompanied his career. The 37-year-old fighter now has a record of 22 positive results and nine negative results in professional MMA.
