The expectation was for a fair fight, but the Brazilians Thiago Marreta e Johnny Walker delivered a tense duel from the first to the last second in the main attraction of the UFC Las Vegas 38. At the end of 25 minutes, Marreta won the unanimous decision of the judges.

In the fight, Walker was taller and tried to use movement and stomps to hit Marreta, who combined good hand attacks. Both fighters had plastic blows thrown at them, such as flying knees and spinning kicks, but the decision was in the hands of the side judges.
