The preliminary card of UFC Las Vegas 38, an event held this Saturday (2), marked the farewell of Bethe Correia in mixed martial arts. At 38 years old, the former challenger for the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg) couldn't resist her compatriot's muay-thai game Karol Rosa and was defeated in a unanimous decision by the judges (30-27, 30-27, 30-26).

UFC representative since 2013, Correia says goodbye to MMA with a record of 11 triumphs, six setbacks and a draw in her career, where she experienced her best moment in the organization in 2015. The fight

The first combat initiative was taken by Karol Rosa, who invested in low kicks. She even launched two combinations that reached Bethe Correia. The Espírito Santo continued to corner the Paraíba native next to the fence and, faster, she also connected good knees that made her opponent feel it. With 30 seconds left in the round, Karol attempted a takedown, but Bethe rejected his attempts.

In the second round, the two athletes started striking. Karol entered with intelligence and, physically polished, threw knees and punches at close range. On the other hand, Bethe appeared with counterattacks and seemed to feel the blows from Espírito Santo. With a strong muay-thai game, Rosa entered cleanly with knees and elbows to the waist in the final seconds to guarantee victory in the round.

Finally, the third round developed in a balanced way, with Karol Rosa reaching Bethe Correia with even greater intensity. The Paraíba native, at a disadvantage, was not even able to respond standing up and rarely hit her opponent. She still ended up on the bottom, after an unsuccessful takedown attempt.
