After leaving the UFC, Pedro Nobre disputes the Web Fight Combat belt

After his troubled departure from the UFC, where he was fired for, according to officials, simulating a spinal injury during the fight, Pedro Nobre returns to MMA competitions. He will compete for the Web Fight Combat flyweight belt against Eduardo Kiko. The fight takes place in the second edition of the show, scheduled for July 7th at Barra Music, a popular music venue in Rio de Janeiro.

“We are working to put together one of the best cards ever seen at national events, and the title fight between Pedro Nobre and Eduardo Kiko can only make me even more excited and confident that our goal will be achieved”, says Vava Andrade, responsible for getting married the fights from Web Fight Combat. “Pedrinho is a UFC-level athlete and we are sure that fighting in our event will put him back in the world spotlight, just like it was with Beição. Kiko is a dangerous finisher, who is always there to put on a show, and the spectators will have a fight to remember”.

Pedro Nobre has always been one of the most talented Brazilian athletes. In September 2012, he suffered his first defeat in the final of the Bitetti Combat under-61kg GP, but dropped in weight and just three months later beat Eduardo Kiko and Matheus Pereira on the same night to take the flyweight GP title. In January 2013 he fought in the UFC, but the No Contest (no result) against Iuri Marajó, due to illegal strikes from his opponent, removed him from the event. In Web Fight Combat 2, at the age of 27, he intends to retrace the path of success that led him to achieve 14 victories (only one by decision) in 15 fights, and return to fight in Ultimate.

In addition to the title fight between Nobre and Kiko, other duels were also confirmed by the Web Fight Combat organization: Washingtai faces Julio Cesar Merenda, Gleidson Poney faces Bruno Camargo and Raoni barcelos measures strength against Johny Iwasaki. Canal Combate broadcasts the eight main fights live.
