“My job is to match her intensity, but even more so, make her want to give up, take her to deep water and finish the fight. She's up there with the Ronda Rousey, with such a dominant reign, in a position where he managed to keep his belt for so long. She is certainly a pioneer in the sport. I respect all the work she did. I just want my opportunity to say that I'm here too and I'm not going anywhere”, said the challenger in an interview with 'Combate'.

Asked if she expected the Brazilian to feel the pressure due to her long reign, the American believes she will find Amanda very intense and taking the fight seriously.

“I think she has a lot of pressure on her, she has to look absolutely spectacular and she can't be anything less. So I know she will take this fight very seriously, more seriously than in the past, and I think it will be more intense than ever”, concluded Peña.
