At a complicated stage in his career, Kelvin Gastelum You're already starting to think about a change of scenery. In an interview with the channel 'Low Kick MMA', the North American said that he plans to return to the welterweight division (up to 77,1kg) and said that, to do so, he is even thinking about hiring a nutritionist.

"I'm thinking. Maybe possibly hire a nutritionist to help me get down to welterweight, but it's going to take some time. If I do that, I'll fight next year, which is probably the case.”

Champion of the seventeenth season of the reality show 'The Ultimate Fighter', Kelvin started in Ultimate in the 77,1kg division. From 2013 to 2016, the North American achieved six triumphs and two setbacks, however, he decided to move up a category due to the difficulties in reaching the weight in the category.

In the new category, Gastelum even competed for the interim belt against Israel adesanya, in April 2019, but was defeated in a unanimous decision by the judges. In his last six fights, Kelvin has only won one victory. The fighter has a record of 17 positive results and eight negative results in professional MMA.
