Owner of two of the heaviest hands in the entire Ultimate squad, Jairzinho Rozenstruik hopes to add another knockout to his collection. The Surinamese has won 11 of his 12 career victories this way. In an interview with the North American website BJPenn.com, the “Bigi Boy” stated that he sees gaps in the game of Curtis blaydes and who needs just one clean blow to end the fight.

“It’s a heavyweight fight and everyone makes mistakes. I will make him pay for every mistake he makes. The power and technique are there. Any mistake he makes could mean the end of the fight. I'm looking for the knockout. If I land a clean hit, the fight is over. The most important thing is to put pressure on him and make him move backwards. I have to get the knockout. The fight will be on fire from the start,” said the Surinamese.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik recovered from defeat to the current interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane with a knockout victory over Brazilian Augusto Sakai in June this year. The Surinamese occupies sixth place in the ranking. Against Curtis blaydes, fourth in the division, Jairzinho hopes to put himself in a good position to soon fight for the title.

PUBLICITY:

“I think this fight takes me back to the top. I defeat him and take his place. I need one more to fight for the belt, let's go. I want one more right after this,” he concluded.
