Former UFC lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg), Khabib Nurmagomedov recently generated great controversyo stating that ring girls are useless at MMA events. The Russian's statement generated several negative responses, such as that of Arianny Celeste, UFC ring girl, and Valentina Shevchenko, flyweight champion (up to 56,7 kg) of the organization. The last to give his opinion on the matter was Khabib's compatriot, Fedor Emelianenko.

“The girls are there showing the round number on the signs. The only issue is that they should dress more decently. You know, I have nothing to do with it. I already have enough problems in my team and in my family not to fill my head with stupid things,” said Fedor.

After a two-year hiatus, Fedor Emelianenko returns to action on October 23rd to face Timothy Johnson in the main event of Bellator 269. The event will be the first in the organization's history to be held in Moscow, the Russian capital.
