Known for playing the character 'The Mountain' in Game of Thrones, actor Hafthor “Thor” Bjornsson won another boxing duel. After losing 55kg in the last two years, the Icelander took to the ring and defeated Canadian Devon Larrat at the Core Sports Fight Night 3 event. The show took place last Saturday (18) in Dubai (UAE).

Without any major difficulties, Bjornsson defeated Larrat by technical knockout in the first round. The actor dominated the fight from the beginning and after a sequence of blows that punished his opponent's face, the referee decided to stop the fight and declare the Icelander's victory.

This was Haftor's third fight in the noble art. 'The Mountain' had already defeated Steven Ward and Simon Vallily, both in 2021. To be able to box, the artist had to go through a rigorous process of dietary and lifestyle re-education. Over the last two years, the Icelander has lost around 55kg and weighed in at 146,5kg at the event's official weigh-in. Much lighter than his opponent, Devon Larrat weighed 124kg on the event scale.
