After easily defeating Devin Clark in the co-main event of UFC Las Vegas 37, held last Saturday (18), Ion cutelaba appears to be ready to take on greater heights in the light heavyweight division (93 kg). At the press conference held after the event, the Moldovan challenged Anthony Smith, winner of the main fight of the night against Ryan spann.

Before defeating Ryan spann, Anthony Smith was sixth in the light heavyweight rankings, while Ion cutelaba does not even appear among the 15 ranked. When asked about this, what if Ryan spann would not be a better alternative for the next fight, the Moldovan stated that he is ready for any opponent.

“For me this is not important. Come on, I'm ready for any fight and any fighter. I want to give one more show. I thrive on my work, I love my work, it's my life. I’m ready for anyone,” he said.

A fight against Anthony Smith seems unlikely, since victory over Devin Clark was the first of Ion cutelaba in the last four fights. Before, the Moldovan had two defeats and a draw.
