After signing with WWE, Olympic medalist says he would like an 'effort' from Dana White for his move to the UFC

Target of desire for most MMA organizations, Gable Steveson surprised by signing with the WWE pro-wresling. Sincerely, the Olympic gold medalist in Tokyo spoke about one of the possibilities, which was to sign a contract with the UFC. In an interview with 'MMA Hour', the North American said he expected a greater 'effort' from Dana White, president of the organization, for his success.

“I expected Dana to have come in much stronger (to sign me) and that he would pick up the pace a little more. I would love to fight there. I'm not afraid to fight. I'm not afraid of getting punched or going out there and winning and losing in front of a big crowd. It doesn't matter to me. I go there to entertain people and to do something I love. I mean, I love wrestling and I love WWE. I love them both,” Steveson said.

Asked about a possible move to Ultimate in the future, the wrestler also said that he is satisfied with his agreement with WWE, despite having expected even greater action from Dana White.

“I wish he (Dana White) had put more pressure on me to follow this path, but that time is over for now. I'm 100 percent with (WWE Chairman) Vince McMahon and this team. I’m excited to be where I am”, added the athlete.
