After losing 55 kg, 'The Mountain', from Game of Thrones, makes weight and confirms boxing fight in Dubai

Actor behind the character Gregor Clegane, 'The Mountain' from the series Game of Thrones, Icelandic Hafthor “Thor” Bjornsson made weight and confirmed the duel against Canadian Devon Larrat at Core Sports Fight Night 3. The event will take place this Saturday (18), in Dubai, with online transmission.

Known for crushing his opponents in fiction and decided to focus on the noble art after participating in the worldwide hit series, Bjornsson changed his diet and lifestyle and lost 55 kg over the last few years. At the weigh-in for the event, held this Friday (17), the Icelander weighed 146,5 kg, while Devon Larrat, his opponent, weighed 124 kg.

At 32 years old, Bjornsson was due to face Eddie Hall at this Saturday's event, but his opponent was removed from the card due to a biceps injury. As a result, Devon Larrat, 46, was chosen as a substitute for the duel.

This will be Hafthor Bjornsson's third time in the ring. The actor had two exhibition fights against Steven Ward and Simon Vallily, both in 2021.
