One more step must still separate Glover Teixeira of the UFC light heavyweight belt fight. As revealed by the Brazilian's manager, Ed Soares, to the website MMA fighting, Glover would still like to face the winner of the UFC 161 main event, Dan Henderson vs. Rashad evans, before moving on to the title.
Journalist Ariel Helwany, who spoke with Soares, also interviewed Ultimate president Dana White this Saturday, after UFC 160, in which Glover beat James Te Huna. The director was in favor of carrying out this future contract, but did not make any definitions regarding the future of the division.
Glover Teixeira beat James Te Huna at UFC 160, this Saturday (25), and achieved the twenty-first victory of his career. The Brazilian, who currently occupies fourth place in the light heavyweight category ranking, has been undefeated since March 2005 – when he suffered one of the two defeats on his record.
