“Well, if Leon (Edwards) doesn't want to fight (Jorge) Masvidal I would love to step in and execute him again. We all know that 'Masvidal 2.0' is a different animal! #respectfully”, wrote 'Wonderboy'.
At UFC 217, in November 2017, the two athletes faced each other for the first time. On that occasion, Thompson beat Masvidal in a unanimous decision by the judges and recovered from the defeat to Tyron woodley in the title fight.
Currently in fifth place in the welterweight rankings, Thompson is looking to get back on the winning track. In his last fight, 'Wonderboy' was defeated by the Brazilian Gilbert Durinho in July of this year. The fighter has a professional record of 16 triumphs, five setbacks and one draw.
Well if Leon won't fight @GamebredFighter I'd love to step in and run it back. We all know Masvidal 2.0 is a different animal! #superrespectfully https://t.co/iRTImmL8x4
