Winner of the first edition of 'The Ultimate Fighter' and one of the most iconic names in UFC history, Diego Sanchez He no longer has a contract with the organization and is now flirting with other career opportunities. Considered 'boxing without gloves', the North American made it clear that the sport is one of his current possibilities.

On his social networks, Sanchez even commented on the 'Boxing of Legends' last Saturday (11) with the victories of Anderson Silva e Vitor belfort and took the opportunity to ask for a fight against Oscar De La Hoya.

“If we could keep boxing vs. MMA, it would be an honor to do a boxing match with (Oscar) De La Hoya at 'Triller'. Mayweather x McGregor, Anderson x Chavez, Vitor x Holyfield. It looks like MMA is winning over boxing. Oscar De La Hoya x Diego Sanchez”, wrote Diego, in his 'Twitter' official.

The veteran also made a point of praising Evander Holyfield's courage in taking to the ring at the age of 58 to measure his strength against Vitor belfort. Furthermore, the American asks whether De La Hoya still wants to face the 'Phenomenon' after the Brazilian's last performance.

“He looks incredible, what a legend (Evander) Holyfield is. And so it ended, with Belfort showing that he is still very dangerous. I wonder if Oscar De La Hoya still wants to fight Belfort after seeing he still has power,” he concluded.

Diego Sanchez gained great notoriety after winning the first season of the reality show 'The Ultimate Fighter'. Since then, there have been 32 fights in the organization with 19 wins and three losses. In his last fight, the veteran was defeated by Jake matthews by unanimous decision in the UFC 243 in September 2020.
