The height of Mike Tyson in boxing passed at the end of the 1990s, but respect and admiration for the boxer remains high. A self-confessed fan of the 'Man of Steel', the current world heavyweight champion by the World Boxing Confederation (WBC), Tyson Fury, was willing to hold an exhibition fight with the veteran in the near future. The suggestion came after the Englishman praised the legend's performance against Roy Jones Jr. last season.

“I loved watching the return of Mike Tyson (to the rings). I would love to face him in an exhibition fight”, said the champion, in an interview with 'The Mac Life'.

At the top of world boxing, Fury has some issues in his career, which could hinder him from realizing his dream in the short term. The athlete then clarified the conditions for the superfight to be promoted.

“If the fight against Dillian Whyte doesn't happen, I'd love to face Mike,” said Fury, who is also negotiating a trilogy against Deontay Wilder, when he should defend his belt.

A boxing professional since 2008, the 33-year-old Englishman is undefeated in his career in the sport. The fighter has 30 wins and one draw in 31 matches played.

Legend of the sport, Tyson, 54, returned to the ring last season for an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr., promoted with special rules. Former world champion, the veteran hasn't performed in 15 years and, since last season, admits his desire to continue competing, even if non-professionally.
