This Wednesday, bad news arrived for Brazilian MMA fans. The California State Athletic Commission today judged the appeal of Brazilian Antonio “Pezão” Silva, and maintained the one-year suspension for the ATT athlete for using Boldenone, in the fight against Justin Eilers, at the now defunct EliteXC, in August. The suspension will end in November 2009.
In an exam carried out shortly after the positive result was announced, Pezão carried out a counter-test that confirmed the negative result for the use of prohibited substances, but this was not enough to sensitize the Athletic Commission, which maintained the suspension.
