Promoter confirms that fight between Belfort and Holyfield will be under professional boxing rules

It's going to be for real. Substitute for Oscar De La Hoya in the boxing challenge against Vitor belfort, Evander Holyfield will not have a clash with adapted rules. Even at 58 years old, the legend of the 'noble art' will have a professional clash against the former UFC fighter that takes place this Saturday (11), in Florida (USA). The information was released by the fight's promoter, Ryan Kavanaugh, to 'MMA fighting'.

According to the representative of Triller, the duel will be contested at heavyweight, over 90kg. The confrontation, which headlines the show, will have eight rounds, two minutes each.

Initially, the show was scheduled to take place in California (USA). The event, however, ended up having its location changed after the state Athletic Commission did not authorize Holyfield's participation in the clash with so little notice.

Willing to hold the event on the scheduled date, Triller acted quickly and chose Florida as the 'new home' for the all-star challenge. Still according to the 'MMA fighting', the state Boxing Commission has not yet received the rules and regulations for the fight in question.

To date, 'Belfort x Holyfield' remains confirmed and promoted by both athletes and promotions. In addition to the main clash between MMA and boxing legends, Anderson Silva e Tito Ortiz also fill the card. The veterans exchange forces in the ring in the co-main clash, also under the rules of the 'noble art'.
