Anderson Silva and Georges St-Pierre marked times as former UFC champions and are constantly included among the main names in the history of MMA, even though they did not share the organization's octagon. However, now in boxing and on the eve of facing Tito Ortiz, the 'Spider' is already thinking about the next steps in the sport and opened the doors to face the Canadian in the future.

“I think it would be an interesting fight, too. But the 'almighty' (Dana White) needs to stop being annoying and let the guy follow his path. I would like him to release (St-Pierre from his contract with Ultimate), because the guy has the stamina to continue fighting. There's no reason to keep stopping the guy out of ego. It's ridiculous”, said Silva, in an interview with the 'Trocação Franca' podcast.

Furthermore, 'Spider' suggested that Ultimate's president, Dana White, release St-Pierre from his contract so that the Canadian can fulfill his desire to also compete in boxing. He even considers that GSP could fight for many years in the sport, if he switched to the 'noble art'.

“The guy doesn't want to fight MMA and has the possibility of fighting another two, three, four or five years in boxing, doing the new normal. He won't fight with a new guy, but with (Oscar) De La Hoya, who gives him the conditions to perform well. And then you're going to hold a guy on his contract after everything he did for your company? Doing a deal like that is ridiculous”, concluded the Brazilian.

After leaving MMA aside and switching to boxing, Anderson Silva beat Júlio Cezar Chávez Jr. and, next Saturday (11), faces Tito Ortiz. Georges St-Pierre, in turn, showed interest in testing himself in the 'noble art' and reaffirms that he is retired from mixed martial arts, but is still under contract with Ultimate and cannot play for another franchise.
