Despite two unsuccessful attempts to win the belt, Jorge masvidal maintains the welterweight belt as his main objective. In an interview with North American ESPN, “Gamebred” spoke about what he hopes for the future.

PUBLICITY:

“The ideal scenario is that I walk into the office and they tell me: ‘this guy can get you closer to the title than anyone else’. So I would face this guy. Even more so if they offer a lot of money for it. These guys are very sentimental, I don't give a shit about them. I want to fight for the title again. Whatever it takes to fight for the title, any opponent, any threat, any challenge. That’s what I’m there for,” said Masvidal.

Despite having the belt as a primary objective, Jorge masvidal is attentive to other possibilities for the future. The welterweight welcomes the possibility of following in the footsteps of Ben Askren and Tyron woodley and venture into a boxing match against Jake or Logan Paul.

PUBLICITY:

“I'm going to beat all the Pauls. If they put money in my pocket, of course I would like to smash some Disney characters in the face. I've been facing men who have been training since they were 7, 8 years old to do the same thing I want to do with them. Facing guys like the Paul brothers is a bonus. The UFC would have to sign, but nothing is impossible. Dana doesn’t like the guys and she knows I would hurt them,” the fighter said.

Another possibility on Masvidal's radar is a possible fight against Nick Diaz, another very popular Ultimate veteran, who returns to the octagon in UFC 266, on September 25th, against Robbie Lawler.

PUBLICITY:

"I know Nick Diaz do well and do your job (in UFC 266), why not me and Nick? I would love to fight Nick. It's a classic fight, a fight I've always wanted to do since I was in Strikeforce at 70 kg, he was at 77. He's always been a guy I wanted to face. Nothing personal, just because of the style and the way he leaves everything in the octagon. If I can get this fight against Nick, it would be a blessing”, concluded Masvidal.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
