Israel Adesanya mocks Derek Brunson's challenge and rules out the possibility of a middleweight title rematch

Last Saturday (4), Derek Brunson gained great prominence at the end Darren till in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 36. After the fight, the North American decided to challenge Israel adesanya for a rematch and, now, it was answered by the middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg.).

The story between Adesanya and Brunson began in 2018, when the fighters faced each other in the Ultimate Octagon. On that occasion, the Nigerian knocked him out in the first round and headed towards the division title.

Although Derek draws attention to a possible duel, he may have to do one more fight to confirm his chance for the belt, because Whittaker should be the next challenger in the category.

In a good phase with five consecutive victories, Derek Brunson managed to get out of the middleweight 'gatekeeper' status and lost for the last time against Israel adesanya. At 37 years old, the North American has a record of 23 positive results and seven negative results.
