At the opening of the main card of the UFC Las Vegas 36, held this Saturday (04), the English Paddy Pimblett showed why he had so much expectation around his name and knocked out the Brazilian Luigi Vendramini in the first round.
Former Cage Warriors champion, Paddy Pimblett made his Ultimate debut at UFC Las Vegas 36. The 26-year-old Brit now has 17 wins and just three losses in his career. Luigi Vendramini, in turn, lost his second consecutive one in the Octagon. The Brazilian now has three defeats and just one victory in the UFC.
THE FIGHT
The fight started off busy, with Pimblett risking a high kick, deflected by Luigi. Aggressive, the Englishman went after Luigi, but ended up being hit by a hard left blow from the Brazilian and wobbling. Taking advantage of the good moment, Luigi managed the takedown and delivered good blows to the opponent's head, who managed to get up, escaping a guillotine attempt.
In the final stretch of the first round, Pimblett continued to move well and connected with a good uppercut, shaking the Brazilian. The Englishman went all out and with an overwhelming sequence of blows he won the victory by knockout.
