The victory of Giga Chikadze about Edson Barboza filled the eyes of the boss, Dana White. Keeping an eye on the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 35, held this Saturday (28), the president did not hide his excitement about the Georgian, who defeated the Brazilian with a hard knockout in the third round. In the press conference after the event, the 'big boss' praised the featherweight division (up to 65,7kg).

“He’s really badass. I was very excited for this fight. It was a top-notch presentation. I knew that, on paper, the fight had the potential to be what it was,” White said.

This weekend, Chikadze stepped into the octagon to fight against one of the organization's most aggressive athletes. In addition to acting for a chance at a future fight for the title, the Georgian defended invincibility within the company.

Against Barboza, Giga once again proved that he is an important name at featherweight. Against the Brazilian, the Georgian showed off his striking and settled the bill in the third round.

With the victory, Chikadze should take ninth place in the group led by Alexander Volkanovsky. The Friburgo native can go to 10th.
