The last middleweight champion of the extinct Strikeforce does not feel that he is receiving due value from his opponent upon his arrival in Ultimate. That's what he expressed Luke Rockhold during the UFC no Combate 2 press conference, this Thursday (16), in Jaraguá do Sul (SC), when talking about his preparation for the fight against Vitor belfort.
“I feel like I'm getting better with each fight. I have many wins in the first round and some fights that went to five rounds. I haven't fought in the last ten months, but I've improved a lot since then. I think he (Belfort) underestimated what I have. Believe me, I don't underestimate you. But I don’t think he really knows what I’m going to do, so that’s my advantage”, said Rockhold.
The North American continued explaining the advantage he believes he has in the duel. “I had great training. I prepare with the best and I am very confident in my team and our strategy. Vitor is the 'dinosaur', the 'Tyrannosaurus Rex' as he likes to call himself. He has a whole career for me to study and I did my homework. I know what to expect from Vitor, I know exactly what he is going to do and how he is going to do it”, he added.
Luke Rockhold e Vitor belfort are taking part in the main fight of the UFC in Combate 2, this Saturday (18), at Arena Jaraguá, in Jaraguá do Sul (SC). The fighters currently occupy, respectively, fifth and second place in the Ultimate middleweight rankings.
