With a growing name in boxing challenges, Jake Paul is close to its commitment against Tyron woodley, which takes place this Sunday (29). Admirer of the YouTuber's work as an athlete, Michael Bisping has reservations about the proportion that the shows have taken. In a direct statement, the former Ultimate champion showed concern about other digital influencers who may venture into combat sports.

“What I don’t like (about superfights) is that Jake Paul He does this and other people do it too. (…) Every son of a bitch on the planet thinks it's easy to go out there and do these fights. It's not a game. Let's have everyone facing each other and it will be incredible. It will be funny”, said Bisping. "It is not funny. It is to be taken seriously. Someone is going to get seriously hurt eventually,” said the former Ultimate champion, in an interview with 'MMA fighting'.

Retired since 2017, Bisping even bet that Paul could win the fight against Woodley, former UFC welterweight champion (up to 77kg). However, the Englishman has already highlighted that Jake has been professionally prepared for his challenges. This fact does not represent a certain portion of possible 'adventurers'.

“I'm telling you, it's going to be a matter of time before someone gets seriously hurt. It's not a game and I say that because I don't want anyone to suffer. Can I take my eye out (Bisping has a prosthetic eye, used as a result of his fight against Vitor belfort, in 2013) right now. I had neck surgery at the beginning of the year. I have two 'fake knees. (…) I've had 25 surgeries throughout my career and you have these idiots showing up without preparing their bodies for the type of damage they're going to receive”, concluded Michael, who competed in professional MMA between 2004 and 2017.

Over the weekend, Paul will try to maintain his unbeaten boxing record. Woodley, in turn, will have his first fight since leaving UFC.
