Brazilian legend in the UFC, Demian Maia should no longer act for the organization. After 14 years in the company and two consecutive defeats, the Brazilian had his name removed from the welterweight division (up to 77kg). Previously, the Brazilian confirmed his interest in a farewell fight in his home country, but he will not have his 'last dance' in Ultimate. Maia, today, is the Brazilian with the most victories in the organization – with 22 fights. At 43 years old, he has a career record of 28 wins and 11 losses.
In addition to the veteran, the organization also chose to release the bantamweight division (up to 61,2kg.) Jimmie rivera. The North American last performed in February, when he lost to Peter Munhoz. Furthermore, he has only won two of his last six fights.
