the card of Bellator 265, which takes place this Friday (20), in South Dakota (USA), suffered a major absence. At the official weigh-in for the event, held in the early afternoon of this Thursday (19), featherweight Jay Jay Wilson failed to make weight. With this, the duel against Adam Borics, which was to be the co-main event of the night, was cancelled.

Jay Jay Wilson weighed approximately 68,2 kg, practically 2 kg above the category limit (66,2 kg), already counting on the extra pound of tolerance granted in non-title fights. This is the third time in the last four fights that the undefeated Wilson has been overweight.
Adam Borics, who would face Jay Jay Wilson for a chance to fight for the division's belt, weighed 66 kg, within the limit allowed in the featherweight division, and received the fight purse.
With the cancellation of the duel between Wilson and Borics, Bellator promoted the welterweight fight (under 77 kg) Logan storley and Dante Schiro to co-main event.
In the main fight Bellator 265, veterans Cheick Kongo and Sergei Kharitonov face each other in a duel valid for heavyweights (up to 120,2 kg). The event also features Brazilian heavyweight Marcelo Golm, who makes his debut in the organization against Billy Swanson.
