'Knockout Man', Bruno Cappelozza competes for a place in the final of the PFL heavyweight tournament this Thursday

With the finalists of the PFL tournament defined, the welterweights (up to 77kg.) and lightweights (up to 70.kg.), for men, it was time for the heavyweights (up to 120,2kg.) and lightweights for women. This Thursday (19), in Florida (USA), the organization will present to fans who will reach the big decision in two more divisions. Brazil is competing for a vacancy.

Nice surprise from Tupiniquim, Bruno Cappelozza came with everything and defeated two opponents until reaching the semi-finals. After passing through Before Delija and Muhammed DeReese, with two devastating knockouts, now the São Paulo native will have a decisive test against Jamelle Jones.

In the women's lightweight semifinals, the green and yellow team gained a new representative. Before, Larissa pacheco would face Taylor Guardado, however, the Pará native failed to make the weight cut and was replaced by Mariana morais, who would face Claudia Zamora in the first half of the show.

On the preliminary card, Renan Problem, other than the score needed to reach the semi-final, will also be on the card. The athlete will exchange forces with Stuart Austin.

The leading role in the event will be Kayla harrison, organization phenomenon. Current lightweight champion and undefeated in professional MMA, the two-time Olympic champion is trying to reach the finals and will face Genah Fabian.

Cappelozza x Jones

Known for his knockout power, Bruno reaches the decagon to, once again, prove his talent in MMA. To win the dream belt and the prize of more than R$5 million, the São Paulo native will need to beat Jamelle, who also reached the semifinals undefeated and with two knockouts.

The duel has everything to catch fire, as it pits two combatants who enjoy open fighting face to face. Whoever triumphs will face the winner of the clash between Denis Goltsov and Before Delija, which open the main card.

A professional in MMA since 2010, Cappelozza has never let a victory go to the judges' decision. The fighter has 12 knockouts in 12 victories in mixed martial arts.

Morais x Guardado

Considered a Brazilian promise in the sport, Pacheco did not fulfill his commitment to the scales and let his dream of winning the lightweight tournament slip away. Who celebrates Mariana morais, who had failed to advance to the semi-finals and replaces her compatriot.

In the championship, Mariana debuted against the favorite, Harrison and ended up being knocked out by the current champion in the first round. Afterwards, the São Paulo native managed to recover, when she hit Kaitlin Young, by points.

Despite the last victory, Morais' score was not enough to pass the stage. The athlete, however, returns to the competition and will have the chance to turn things around against Taylor, who has three fights as a professional in the sport, but advanced to the next stage after two wins on points. The lightweight duel will take place on the main card.

In MMA since 2012, Mariana, 26 years old, has 17 wins and 11 losses in the sport.

Harrison x Fabian

Considered one of the biggest names in the history of the PFL, Harrison defends his hegemony in the organization's lightweight division. Two-time Olympic champion, the athlete, who has done well in her transition to MMA, found it easy to reach the semifinals.

With an eye on the big decision, the current champion of the tournament and category overcame Mariana morais and Cindy Dandois until reaching the challenge against Fabian. Both victories came in the first round.

On the UFC's radar, Kayla, today, also defends her unbeaten record in the sport. The athlete doesn't know what it's like to lose in 10 performances and could be seen in Ultimate in the near future.
