After beating Clay Collard in the semifinals of the lightweight GP (under 70,3kg), Raush Manfio does not hide the fact that the duel was quite balanced. The Brazilian fighter was honest in assuming that any result would be fair for the confrontation and spoke about his happiness in being in the final of the tournament. The statement was given in an interview with 'Combate'.

“In my view of the fight, if the referees had given Clay Collard a draw or a victory, it wouldn't be unfair, we couldn't complain, because the second round was very even, it wasn't decisive. In the view of all the referees, that moment when he was on top didn't count as a fall because I slipped with my knee, he took advantage of the situation and attacked the neck, but I defended it, so it doesn't deserve anyone's credit. Defense doesn’t count, as does an unsuccessful attack,” declared Raush.
The Brazilian fighter declared that, regardless of the result, his career has already changed definitively and he did not hide his happiness with the moment he is experiencing.
“I don't know if I'm predestined to win this, but God has already given me the blessing to change my life, this has already happened. My career will never be the same. That was my dream, to be making money and to be among the best doing what I love. I'm very happy doing what I do, I love the process of being a fighter. I was destined for this. But to earn that million, I don’t want that certainty in my heart yet”, concluded Manfio.
In the 2021 lightweight tournament season, Raush Manfio achieved three victories. The Brazilian athlete defeated Joílton Peregrino, Anthonny Pettis and Clay Collard respectively. In the GP decision, the fighter from Porto Alegre will face Loik Radzhabov on October 27th. The fighter has a record of 15 triumphs, three setbacks and one draw.
