Video: Cage fence breaks and causes unusual scene at Argentine MMA event

A more than unusual scene marked Brutal Fight Night V, held last weekend, in Argentina. During the fight between Juan Villaseca and Walter Nahuelcheo, the side rail of the cage could not support the weight of the athletes and ended up breaking, forcing the duel to be momentarily interrupted.

In the images (see below), it is possible to see the exact moment when the containment grid breaks. At one point in the second round, Walter attempts a takedown on his opponent, who defends himself. Pressed against the protective wall, and with both of them exerting force, the equipment could not support it and gave way.

Unable to continue the duel, the athletes moved away and waited for the platform to be adjusted. The fight, however, returned a few minutes later.

With the confrontation restarted, the clash doesn't even reach the third round. Towards the end of the stage, Villaseca managed a submission and overcame his opponent.
