Focused on becoming UFC champion, José Aldo closes the door on boxing fights against YouTubers

The former champion considers it 'marmalade' to face YouTubers who have never practiced martial arts, but understands the financial appeal involved

I like boxing, but I wouldn't do anything like that, fighting a YouTuber. I respect anyone who does it, because the financial side is very good, but according to my philosophy, I don't see myself doing something like that, facing a guy who has never done a martial art”, analyzed Aldo.

José Aldo stated that, if he switches to boxing in the future, he intends to build his name in the sport by doing several fights until he is qualified to face someone renowned.

“(If you boxed) The idea was to fight other fighters who have a name, who were once champions. But for that to happen I would have to do several boxing fights beforehand, show my ability and that I have what it takes to face someone in boxing,” he concluded.

While remaining in MMA, José Aldo occupies fifth place in the UFC bantamweight ranking and comes from two consecutive victories over Marlon Vera and most recently Peter Munhoz.
