The Brazilian Ricardo arona, was invited by Quicksilver, its official sponsor, to participate in the last stage of the WCT (first division of surfing), which takes place in Hawaii, to teach surfing athletes sponsored by the brand, including Kelly Slater. “I did a camp with the athletes before the competition and I'm going to give some classes afterwards too. I signed this sponsorship with Quicksilver at the stage in France, when I taught some athletes like Kelly Slater”, said Arona
The black belt also had to break up a mess between Brazilian Neco Padaratz and Hawaiian Sunny Garcia, who got angry after Neco interfered in his wave. Sunny started attacking Neco in the water and chased him in the sand, when Arona arrived on the scene and calmed down the confusion. Neco advanced in the heat, while Sanny was disqualified and also received a fine for the attack.
