The fate of injuries as the Ultimate events draw closer was repeated in the UFC in Combate 2, to be held on May 18th in Jaraguá do Sul (SC). This is because, according to the blog “Na grid do MMA”, Cypriot Constantinos Phillipou was injured during training and will no longer face Ronaldo Jacare, in the co-main event of the night. According to the website, Chris Camozzi will be the Brazilian's new opponent.

Information suggests that Costa Phillipou suffered a deep cut on his face during his training session last Thursday (02). The Cypriot is currently sixth in the Ultimate rankings. His replacement, Camozzi, is not among the top ten in the middleweight category.

With Chris Camozzi moving to the co-main event of the night, Brazilian Rafael “Sapo” Natal, who would face the North American, also has a new opponent. Newcomer João Zeferino, who was playing for the national event Nitrix, will face his compatriot in the first fight on the main card.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
