Chad Mendes says he plans to do 'one or two more fights' for the UFC after his stint in 'bare-knuckle boxing'

After coming out of retirement and signing with Bare Knuckle FC, the featherweight said he still intends to put on the Ultimate gloves again

After coming out of retirement and signing with Bare Knuckle FC, Chad Mendes he didn't rule out the chance of one day wearing Ultimate gloves again. The former featherweight division challenger (up to 65,7) revealed that he still has a contract with the UFC and said that he can still do 'one or two more fights' for the UFC after his stint in 'bare-knuckle boxing'. The statement was made in an interview with the podcast 'Joe Rogan Experience'.

“I'm still under contract with the UFC. I still have fights on my contract with Ultimate, so there's still a possibility that I'll come back and maybe I'll want to do one or two more fights there after that. Let’s see,” declared Mendes.

A former featherweight division challenger on three occasions, Chad is looking for a new path to success in combat sports. His last fight for the UFC was in December 2018, when he was knocked out by the now champion Alexander Volkanovsky. The North American has a record in the sport of 18 triumphs and five setbacks.
