The heavy weight Roy Nelson won more than the “knockout of the night” award and the 65 thousand dollars (about 130 thousand reais) related to the honor for his victory over Cheick Kongo at UFC 159. Nelson gained a position in the latest update of the Ultimate rankings and now occupies fifth place among the organization's heavyweights.
With the new position, the “chubby” is only behind the main names in the division – the champion Cain Velazquez, Junior Gypsy, Daniel Cormier, Fabricio Werdum and Antônio “Pezão” – and is ahead of renowned fighters, such as Rodrigo Minotauro e Frank mir.
One of the highlights of the list continues to be related to last week's update, which followed UFC on FOX 7. In it, the veteran Josh thomson, who returned to the UFC winning Nate diaz, won four places and is already fifth among the lightweights.
