Conor McGregor attacks Khabib Nurmagomedov's deceased father, but then deletes posts

The Irishman once again created controversy on social media, attacking the Russian's father, who passed away due to complications caused by Covid-19

Still not seeming to accept well the defeat suffered by Dustin poirier in the main fight of UFC 264almost a month ago, Conor McGregor led to yet another regrettable controversy on social media. After several attacks aimed at Poirier and his wife, this time the Irishman's target was Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, Khabib's father, who passed away in 2020 due to complications caused by Covid-19.

Last Monday night (26), Conor McGregor decided to respond to a provocation from Khabib Nurmagomedov made shortly after the Irishman's defeat to Dustin poirier, in the early hours of July 11th. At the time, the Russian stated that “good always wins over evil”. Unfortunately, the Irishman used the phrase to attack Khabib and his father.

“Covid is good and the father is evil?” wrote McGregor, without naming names.

The publication was deleted shortly afterwards, along with others in which it questioned the result of the fight against Poirier, stating that “medical interruption is not a technical knockout”.

This is not the first time that Conor McGregor attacks family members of his rivals. Shortly after the defeat to Dustin poirier, still in the octagon, the Irishman made threats to his opponent's wife. Then, on social media, he even involved the American's daughters in the threats. At the time, McGregor's trainer, John Kavanagh, blamed hormones for his pupil's attitude.

Conor McGregor was defeated by Dustin poirier in the main fight of UFC 264, on July 10th. The Irishman broke his leg in the last seconds of the first round and is currently recovering from surgery.
