UFC promotes marketing action on the streets of New York

Event tries to gain support from fans for legalization of the sport in the State

Ronda and PettisThe UFC took another step towards gaining popularity in New York City. This Wednesday (24), the event carried out a marketing campaign at Herald Square, in Manhattan, aiming to gain popular support for the legalization of the sport in the State.

On a stage set up at the venue, fans were able to participate in a question and answer game with the bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey, the candidate for the featherweight belt, Anthony Pettis, and the next challenger of Anderson Silva, Chris Weidman.

UFC President Dana White, the bantamweight Urijah faber and the former welterweight champion, Matt hugs, also participated in the event, which started late in the morning and only ended at night.

PUBLICITY:

The UFC's action has a special reason. The organization is trying to legalize MMA in New York, which has been banned since 1997, to celebrate the anniversary at Madison Square Garden – the most important arena complex in the world.
