The Brazilian Anderson Silva, middleweight champion and UFC's biggest name today, has a new contract with the biggest MMA organization on the planet. At least that's what Ultimate's president, Dana White, said during an interview session promoted by a sponsor.
“I haven't spoken to Anderson (Silva) in about a month. But as far as I know, it’s settled,” said the manager, when asked about a new arrangement with the champion. White also stated that, again as far as he knows, the new deal with Spider is for ten fights.
Anderson Silva returns to the octagon on July 6th, when he seeks to defend – for the 11th time – the middleweight title against Chris Weidman, at UFC 162. The first place in the Ultimate weight-for-pound ranking is looking for yet another record: to achieve his 16th consecutive victory for the organization.
