After triumph at UFC Vegas 32, TJ Dillashaw reveals desire for title fight: 'I want my belt back'

The North American even reveals that he was not impressed with the first fight between Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan; he beat Cory Sandhagen by split decision

After his victory in UFC Las Vegas 32 this Saturday (24) on Cory Sandhagen, TJ Dillashaw is motivated to achieve his big goal of regaining the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg.). In a post-event press conference, the North American says he was not impressed with the first fight between aljamain sterling e Petr yan for the title and believes he can return to the top.

“I want my belt back. It's my belt. I wasn't satisfied with their last fight. I think (Petr) Yan will win. Aljamain (Sterling) didn’t look good in his last fight and that’s why I see myself fighting for the belt next,” said Dillashaw.

Despite the 'lobby', however, TJ will have to wait for Yan and Aljamain's rematch, which should take place on UFC 267, in October. However, if you manage to achieve the feat, TJ Dillashaw he would reach Randy Couture's record of becoming three-time Ultimate champion at different times.

“Yes, that would be amazing. I'm very excited to be a three-time champion. (…), the way I feel good, at 35 years old, also makes me very excited about this title”, concluded the North American.

At 35 years old, Dillashaw has a record of 17 triumphs and four setbacks in his professional MMA career. In the fight against Cory Sandhagen, he performed for the first time after more than two years of being suspended for doping by USADA (US Anti-Doping Agency).
