In a pleasant attitude, the light heavyweight champion Jon Jones decided to pay tribute to his teammate Erik Perez, after learning that the Mexican will no longer participate in UFC 159 – next Saturday (27) – due to a knee infection. Jones appeared in an image on Twitter wearing a mask Wrestling, just like Perez does when entering the octagon.

The image was originally published on Gibson's profile, and later retweeted by the champion.
As soon as Perez's cut was announced, Bryan caraway was announced as his replacement for the fight against Johnny Bedford. In turn, Jon Jones makes the main fight of UFC 159 against Chael Sonnen. In addition to the fight for the light heavyweight category belt, the confrontation marks the duel between the reality show's coaches The Ultimate Fighter 17.
