“It was a crazy situation. I mean, look how Anderson Silva e Chris Weidman were after your injury happened. McGregor was still sitting and I don't think interviews should happen in that scenario. I'm surprised this happened. It shouldn't have happened, but it did. You have to move on and live to fight another day. Now it’s time to heal, train, correct mistakes and come back,” said Lobov.

Even though he is aware of the seriousness of his friend's injury, Artem said he has no doubts that the Irishman will return to fighting at his best level after his full recovery.

“This will be a long recovery process, and then he (McGregor) will regain confidence. It's going to be a slow process but, I remember when Conor came back from his knee ligament injury, he came back better than before. I have no doubt that it will be the same result this time”, concluded Artem.

After a three-year stint in Ultimate with two wins and five losses, the Irishman was fired from the organization in 2018. In 2019, Lobov signed with Bare Knuckle, 'bare-knuckle boxing' and since then, he has achieved two triumphs and one setback .
