Considered one of the main names in noble contemporary art, Canelo Álvarez is the current super middleweight world champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and the World Boxing Council (WBC).
With a record of 56 wins, 38 of which were by knockout, two draws and only one defeat, the Mexican comes from a triumph over Billy Joe Saunders, by technical knockout, in May this year, when he won the World Boxing Organization title. Álvarez's only defeat came in September 2013, against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
International Boxing Federation (IBF) champion, Caleb Plant has already defended his title on three occasions. In the last one, he defeated Caleb Truax by unanimous decision. The North American has an undefeated record with 21 victories, 12 of which were by knockout.
If the duel between Canelo and Caleb Plant is confirmed for September 18th, the boxing world will have an incredible sequence of great fights. On September 25th, it's Anthony Joshua's turn to face Oleksandr Usyk. On October 9th, Tyson Fury completes the trilogy against Deontay Wilder.
